Our Clinicians

Melissa Muir, LLP

Melissa Muir, LLP, CIMHP, has extensive training in DBT including from Marcia Linehan's prestigious institute, Behavioral Tech.  Melissa has certification in advanced treatment of personality disorders, trauma, and regularly works with children, teens, and adults struggling with intense emotions, out of control behaviors, and self-injury/suicidal ideation. Some of her areas of expertise are with treating Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and PTSD.

Melissa works with the LGBTQ community providing consultations for gender affirming care, and support for all LGBTQ identities.

Melissa has a special interest in working with other therapists and clinical professionals and devotes half of her time to this practice.

Melissa's style is warm, humorous, and highly relational.

Allison VandeVusse, LMSW

 

Allison comes with over 10 years of experience working in community health. Allison brings a judgement free, approachable, safe place for her clients to unpack their troubles related to anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, and health complications.  Allison’s down-to-earth style offers clients the space to come as they are and find comfort and safety in a space that is supportive, solution-focused, and strength-based. Known for her person-centered philosophy, she guides her clients to recognize that they are the expert in their life and experiences, empowering them to become more self-aware and self-reliant. Allison’s humor and ability to meet clients where they are at helps them celebrate even the smallest steps toward healing and thriving together.   

Allison has a deep love for animals, nature, fuzzy socks, and a good cup of black coffee. It is her hope that being relatable builds rapport and strengthens the therapeutic relationship.

Erika Oliver, LLP

Erika Oliver, LLP has a warm and authentic therapeutic style. Known for her sharp wit, approachable style and love of jeans and sweatshirts, Erika brings over a decade of clinical experience and expertise. Erika works with those struggling with substance abuse, PTSD, grief, and anxiety. 


Erika incorporates a holistic approach using nutrition, exercise, and the mind -body connection into her therapy. Erika has extensive experience with bipolar disorder, addiction, and couples.

Meagan Ross, LPC

Meagan Ross, LPC, has rich background including over a decade of experience working as a 911 dispatcher. Now as a therapist, Meagan brings that same calm presence to her counseling style. Meagan is trained DBT and experienced in treating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and anger management.


Meagan has special clinical interest in ADHD and is the author of books and a soon to be released specialized planner for those living with ADHD. Meagan also hosts monthly workshops at Forest Hills Therapy on a variety of topics including self esteem, journaling, and ADHD.

Kendra Utter-David, LLMSW

 Kendra Utter-David, LLMSW, has years of experience in helping professions, beginning her work in the housing non-profit world before returning to school for her Master of Social Work degree. She enjoys walking alongside young adults and women of all ages to address concerns related to social anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, anxiety, stress, trauma, self-esteem and faith questioning. Kendra is passionate about working interculturally and enjoys learning from clients of diverse backgrounds. She utilizes an Integrative approach to therapy to use whichever therapy tools feel supportive for each individual client; in other words, your experience will be specific to you. She holds a Trauma Across the Lifespan certificate. Kendra is a casual, relational therapist and believes that therapy shouldn’t feel like you are sitting in your doctor’s office (unless you really love hanging out with your doctor).  

Austin Avison, TLLP

 

Clinical Psychologist & University Lecturer in Psychology

Austin Avison is a clinical psychologist (TLLP) and university lecturer specializing in comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological, and personality assessment. His clinical work focuses on providing in-depth evaluations for a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning and intellectual disorders, giftedness, academic accommodations, memory concerns, and neurocognitive disorders such as dementia. 

Drawing from both academic and clinical expertise, Austin integrates empirically grounded assessment methods to deliver thorough, individualized reports that clarify diagnostic questions and guide effective treatment or educational planning. He offers attention, executive function, academic, and memory evaluations to support clients seeking diagnostic clarity, cognitive insight, or documentation for accommodations.




**All TLLPs and LLPs practice under supervision from a fully licensed psychologist.

We offer therapy sessions Monday through Friday, with some availability on weekends.  Telehealth is also available.




While insurance participation varies by clinician, most accept:

  • Medicare


All patients have the option of paying with HSA, credit card, or cash. For those patients who wish to work with a clinician out of network with their insurance, a superbill will be provided for you to be reimbursed by your insurance company.


Patients may also elect to pay out of pocket without billing insurance.
